Jordan Hamilton

Friday, June 24 at 5pm | O&W Grove Stage

Modern classical is infused with avant-garde soul in the maverick musicality of Kalamazoo cellist and vocalist Jordan Hamilton. Drawn to the cosmic possibilities of cello’s tone, Hamilton blends songwriting, loop pedals, sample machines, and vocals to travel a wide sonic terrain of experimental hip-hop, folk, soul, and classical. Described as “part political activism, part hopefulness, part performance art, part soundscapes, and all entirely mesmerizing” by John Sinkevics in Local Spins, Hamilton’s music thrums with an emotional energy built on integrity. The eclectic range of Jordan’s rhythmically layered set is sure to capture hearts and minds while reaching toward new horizons. Groove up close and personal with him at A2SF this summer.

This event is free and takes place at Top of the Park located at 915 E. Washington, Ann Arbor, MI 48109. Get directions and parking details here.
