Phil Connors, a cynical TV weatherman trapped in a time loop in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, is forced to relive February 2nd repeatedly. After initial selfish indulgence, he transforms through self-improvement and love, eventually escaping the loop by becoming a better person.
