Orquesta Ritmo

Saturday, June 18 at 8:30pm | Rackham Stage

Originally formed in Michigan in the ’70s by Cuban bandleader Mike Eyia, Orquesta Ritmo specializes in authentic salsa music and always draws a big crowd to A2SF. This polished 11-piece big band has performed all over the Midwest and shared the stage with such artists as salsa great Oscar D’León, Latin rockers Los Lobos, and jazz trombonist Wycliffe Gordon. Recent accomplishments include a special tribute from the Michigan Legislature for promoting Cuban culture in the mid-Michigan area and their latest recording, a Latin jazz CBD under the name Ritmo Patria (Rhythms of the Homeland). Don’t miss their eminently danceable grooves this summer.

This event is free and takes place at Top of the Park located at 915 E. Washington, Ann Arbor, MI 48109. Get directions and parking details here.
