Missing live concerts this summer? We definitely are. And we’re finally ready to gather again in person. Join us this July and August for a limited capacity, socially-distanced, concert. Presented in partnership with the Ann Arbor District Library, the Not Too Close events will take place in select city parks.

The Festival has worked closely with the City of Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation Department to deliver this socially distanced concert. In accordance with the governor’s current executive orders, attendance will be capped at 100 people for each event.

In order to participate, participants must have a ticket and agree to strict, non-negotiable requirements, including:

    • Advance registration; no walk-up entry will be permitted

    • No more than the number of registered guests in each group will be admitted. If someone is unable to attend, please advise A2SF by email as soon as possible

    • Wear a face mask for the duration of the event. When inside your assigned seating circle, you may remove your mask as needed (e.g. for eating/drinking)

    • Maintain a distance of at least six (6) feet from all others

    • Prior to entry, each person will be asked to certify that they have no COVID-19 symptoms and be obligated to sign a COVID-19 waiver of liability

    • Arrive through the assigned park location

    • Provide contact information in the registration form (for contact tracing purposes only)

    • (For Concerts) Please show your appreciation to the artist by clapping and refrain from screaming or shouting

    • Violators will be asked to leave the event

The Not Too Close Concerts series is part of AADL’s Summer Game. Each concert will be re-broadcast at a later date on the Festival’s social media channels.

Clever and Quirky songs?   Miss Paula knows how to write ‘em!  From “Stand Right Up (Sit Back Down)” to “Simon Says” – these tunes embrace what it’s like to be a kid that knows how to follow rock-and-roll directions.  No cleaning up your room with this band, it’s all about fun, fun, fun!

Miss Paula has been around for years, performing in her early years with Detroit faves The Roomates, Vertical Pillows and Motor Dolls.  After having kids in the late 90’s – writing kids tunes was on her agenda.  She formed the all-mom punk rockin’ kiddie tune “Candy Band” in 2002 and released 5 Albums and travelled around the Midwest for 12 years performing everywhere from  Lollapallooza to NYC Kindiefest.  They were even featured on the “Today Show”.
