Learning Center (Virtual): Waste Talk – Reducing our Footprints

Wednesday, June 24 @ 6pm

NOTE: This is a virtual, streamed event.

Join Programming & Operations Manager James Carter as he speaks with representatives from Toyota, the City of Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan, and Washtenaw County about the Festival’s third season of our Festival Footprint Zero Waste Initiative. We will explore how each entity has supported the Festival’s directive to become a zero waste event, and you’ll learn about their own carbon neutrality and zero waste programs. The discussion includes Toyota Community Relations and Corporate Communications representative Praveena J. Ramaswami, Ann Arbor Sustainability and Innovations Manager Missy Stults, U-M Office of Sustainability Waste Reduction and Engagement Manager Anya Dale, and Public Works Director of the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office Theo Eggermont.

Change can only occur with strong education and great community partners. The Festival Footprint Learning Center will offer engaging activities to empower the community to integrate the Festival Footprint ideas into their daily lives.

The Festival Footprint Learning Center is sponsored by Toyota as part of our zero waste initiative.

Sessions will be broadcast on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday sessions can also be found on CTN public access television (channel 17 for Comcast).

You can also stream it online here.
