Kidzone (Virtual): Making Art with Plants

Friday, June 12 @ 4:pm

NOTE: This is a virtual, streamed event.

Join the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) for a family art-making activity! Beforehand, gather leaves, grass, and flowers! Kids and grownups will use collected plant materials from around their homes and neighborhoods to form patterns and images on paper. These will be glued down, covered in paper towel or newspaper, and then pressed to dry.

From learning karate, building a lava lamp, or creating plant art, KidZone offers different nightly activities for families.

Sessions will be broadcast on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday sessions can also be found on CTN public access television (channel 17 for Comcast).

You can also stream it online here.

KidZone is presented with generous support from C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital is among the nation’s best children’s hospitals in all ten categories evaluated by U.S. News and World Report. C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital was the only hospital in Michigan ranked in all ten specialties.
