Kidzone (Virtual): International Mud Day Activities

Sunday, June 28 @ 4pm

NOTE: This is a virtual, streamed event.

Celebrate International Mud Day with Apple Playschools. Go on a bilingual adventure with teachers from Green Apple Garden Playschool and Manzanitas Spanish Immersion Playschool. Together we will find natural materials to make your very own paint brushes and mud paint. Create works of art on recycled materials, your sidewalk, paper or canvas.

You will need: a variety of natural items (sticks, flowers, leaves, or pine cones), string or rubber bands, dirt, water, tint for your mud (spices like turmeric or paprika, beet powder, powder tempera paint, crushed chalk or dirt from different places), and something of your choosing to paint.

From learning karate, building a lava lamp, or creating plant art, KidZone offers different nightly activities for families.

Sessions will be broadcast on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday sessions can also be found on CTN public access television (channel 17 for Comcast).

You can also stream it online here.

KidZone is presented with generous support from C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital is among the nation’s best children’s hospitals in all ten categories evaluated by U.S. News and World Report. C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital was the only hospital in Michigan ranked in all ten specialties.
