KidsRock: Rhythm Child
Sunday, June 10 @ 7pm
Voted the Best Kids Band in Los Angeles in 2017 (CBS-LA), the upbeat, positive reggae and world beats of Rhythm Child are inspired by the passion and conviction of artists like Bob Marley, John Lennon, and Otis Redding and brought to life by band leader, percussionist, and movement builder Norm Jones, a man who believes all children have an innate ability to access rhythm if you hand them a drum. Jones began as a college radio DJ but quickly developed a national reputation as a very dynamic live performer on stage with the reggae, soul, and ska band Crucial DBC. He then worked with the iconic pop/ska band General Public. Based out of LA, Rhythm Child’s brand of feel good, honest music is a direct result of those early years. Moving from stages such as LA’s Nokia Theatre, to schools throughout Southern California, to the south lawn of The White House at the Obama’s Easter Egg Roll, Jones’ global values have been shared with families across the country and on Sirius XM. Expect a highly interactive show with audience members encouraged to bring a drum to play along with the band.
