Katie Stanley Band – Live Here Now
Katie Stanley’s richly textured alto soars and sighs, animating her folksy compositions with heartfelt energy. The daughter of music teachers in Fenton, she is a skilled singer and guitarist who daylights as a public service attorney and mindfulness educator in Flint. Accompanied by local guitarist Vaughn Mortimer, the duo paints a brilliant, expressive canvas of freewheeling Americana and confessional folk in the vein of Gillian Welch and Gregory Alan Isakov. At this year’s festival, they will perform music from their upcoming full-length debut album.
