The O&W Acoustic Stage
Versatile, forthright, and just as skilled an arranger as she is a vocalist and instrumentalist, Karissa Bone of Saginaw recently moved to Ann Arbor to study music at the University of Michigan. Her repertoire is fluent in pop, R&B, and soul singing, while her arrangements bear the hallmarks of chamber music and vocal chorale. Drawing inspiration from Norah Jones, KT Tunstall, and Corinne Bailey Rae, this recent alum of Interlochen Arts Academy performs solo on vocals, electric and acoustic guitar, and piano, or accompanied by a string quartet. Last spring she toured the Midwest with a group of Interlochen songwriters and they had the amazing opportunity of finishing the tour with a performance at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
