Bekka Madeleine brings her wistfully romantic Americana-infused pop to A2SF for the first time this summer. The emerging singer-songwriter is just fifteen but has already released her first single, “Jar of Sand.” A shimmering, catchy track, it shows off her rich voice and haunting yet relatable lyrics, written with her sister Hannah. Madeleine’s voice captures the romanticism, moodiness, and hesitant hope of the new generation with a distinctly melancholic twist. Her passion for music goes back to her early childhood, but it was during the pandemic that she began writing her own songs. As soon as it was possible to do so, Madeleine began participating in nearby open mics where her performances were met with enthusiastic responses.
