The O&W Acoustic Stage
Ann Arbor’s Adam Labeaux specializes in “heartland soul.” He’s a fierce rhythmic guitarist and adept finger-style player, as well as an inspired improviser and beatboxer. As the founding guitarist for the world fusion group The Ragbirds, he has performed in prestigious venues and festivals from Michigan to New York, opening for acts such as Hot Tuna, Tony Rice, and Tom Constanten of The Grateful Dead. Now, as a solo artist, he goes all over the state playing heartfelt, groove-laden improvisations with his self-built looping machine “the Box.” If you’re inspired by artists like Andrew Bird, Willy Porter and Keller Williams, you’ll enjoy hearing his songs build and swell into a symphony.
