Ticketing Information

A2SF Covid-19 Update

After closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and consulting with our partners, the Festival has decided to cancel this summer’s indoor, ticketed events including:

  • Machine de Cirque’s La Galerie, June 13-14
  • Black Violin (co-presented with The Ark), June 18
  • Scott Silven’s Wonders at Dusk, June 21-26
  • Kristin Chenoweth, June 24
  • Pink Martini, June 25
  • Indigo Girls (co-presented with The Ark), June 30
  • The Capitol Steps, July 4

While we are disappointed that we can’t share this special season with you, we take the safety of our community very seriously. The production process and significant financial investment required doesn’t allow us to delay a decision further. Our hope is to reschedule many of these artists for future seasons.

Next Steps for Ticketbuyers:

To request a refund, please use this form to select one of two options:

  1. Donate the full or partial value of your tickets back to the Ann Arbor Summer Festival (this would be tax-deductible as an in-kind gift); or
  2. Request a refund for the value of your tickets via credit card or check. A box office representative will need to call you for credit card information if you purchased by phone or at the Michigan League. The value of your ticket will be refunded to the credit card you use to purchase if you ordered online.

At this time, please do not call the box office. The patron services team is working with a reduced staff remotely (per Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order) and is experiencing tremendous call volume. It may take up to two weeks to receive a call back. We ask that you fill out this form by May 31, and the box office will follow-up with you to complete your refund. If we do not hear from you by May 31, your ticket will be processed as a donation.

Starting Monday, March 30, the box office will be open to receive calls from 1 pm – 5 pm Monday-Friday, and will be returning calls from 9 am – 5 pm Monday-Friday.  Our ticket service is provided by the UMS Patron Services Office; should you request a refund, you will be receiving a call from someone from the Patron Services team.

Buy Early & Save Big with a Festival Sampler!

Flexibility, Service, & Convenience

The value of the tickets may be applied to another festival performance on the season. You may fax a photocopy of your torn tickets to (734) 647-1171 or email an image of the torn tickets to UMSTIX@umich.edu. Lost or misplaced tickets cannot be exchanged.

Ticket Donations

Unused tickets may be donated to the festival for a tax-deductible contribution up to 15 minutes prior to the performance. Unused tickets that are returned after the performance are not eligible for a tax-deductible contribution. To donate your tickets, please contact the Ticket Office. To receive a tax-deductible receipt, please call the festival office at (734) 994-5999.

Lost or Misplaced Tickets

Call the Ticket Office at (734) 764-2538 to have duplicate tickets waiting for you at Will-Call. Duplicate tickets cannot be mailed. In the event of a double seating situation with duplicate tickets, priority will always be given to the holder of the original tickets.

Ticket Resale

The Ann Arbor Summer Festival strongly opposes ticket scalping. The resale of tickets by non-authorized outlets for a price greater than the retail price is a misdemeanor under Michigan law (MCL 750.465(6)). Whenever the festival is presenting a show we expect to be particularly popular, we discourage the resale of tickets by setting a limit on the number of tickets individuals can purchase. We encourage interested ticket buyers to contact our Ticket Office directly at (734) 764-2538 to inquire about ticket availability to any festival performance.
