Timothy Monger State Park
Thursday, June 29 @ 8:30pm Rackham Stage
Timothy Monger is best known for his work with Michigan rock group Great Lakes Myth Society (GLMS), which he co-founded with his brother James. In 2009, Monger went solo, melding elegant, rural pop, complex five-string picking, and lyrical folk rock into his own signature sound. His latest album of chamber folk and jangling power pop, Amber Lantern, was five years in the making and released this spring. He can be found playing throughout Metro Detroit and in his hometown of Saline. Tonight he returns to the festival with a full band on Rackham Stage, including Chad Sturdivant, Tom McCartan, and Leah Diehl.
