Progressive jam rock band Stormy Chromer first landed on the Ann Arbor scene in early 2014. The band’s four members—guitarists Spencer Hanson and Brendan Collins, bassist Ryan King, and drummer Amin Lanseur—have carved out a niche as a respected experimental prog group, improvisational in their compositions and live set. Exciting live shows have landed them a devoted local following, as well as a reputation within the greater Michigan music scene. Having played alongside nationally-touring acts like Consider the Source, Aqueous, The Main Squeeze, Jimkata, and After Funk, as well as with local live staples Rootstand and The MacPodz, Current Magazine described them as having “a jazz-like knack for spread-out jams that can still keep things tight and land on a dime.” Their song “The Stoop” from the CD “A Tale of Two Mouths” was just featured on a Relix Magazine’s May playlist and they released a live recording from The Tangent Gallery in Detroit in April.
