A series of mind-body sessions at Top of the Park, this alternative happy hour lets you enjoy a relaxing late afternoon workout with classes in Yoga, Tai Chi, Aikido, World Dance, Capoeira, and Hula Hooping.
Led by experienced practitioners, all sessions are free, and take place from 5 to 6 pm every Tuesday through Sunday on the Power Center Lawn.
Nia is the original Mind/Body/Spirit holistic fusion class that feels very natural to the body’s way and aims toward wholeness. This conscious movement practice creates choreography expressively to music based on principles of movement arts such as Tae Kwon Do and Tai Chi, Feldenkrais, Yoga, Modern and Jazz dance. This fun and mindful movement class is accessible to ALL people regardless of their level of fitness. It brings joy and fitness using the body’s way and an elegant structure of anatomy and movement forms. People will leave feeling energized, relaxed, athletic, creatively expressive, and engaged in community. It is a truly holistic, unique and restorative experience! Not to mention a great workout! No equipment needed.
