Deep Greens & Blues

Tuesday, June 20 @ 7pm Rackham Stage

With striking harmonies that fill out a heartwarming, full alt-country sound, Grand Rapids’ Deep Greens & Blues has hit upon a pleasing blend of acoustic-driven Blues rock that has caught the ears of fans throughout Michigan. Taking a cue from Lady Antebellum and Little Big Town, this tight five-piece brings danceable, soulful, and well-honed original songs to life with stand up bass, guitar, mandolin, drum, and vocals. They have two albums, most recently 2016’s Chasing Horizons, and this summer sales of their newest single, “Three Phones,” a tribute to those struggling with mental illness, will go to benefit mental health research and advocacy. Deep Greens & Blues has also partnered with Songs Against Slavery to raise awareness and advocacy for human trafficking. Proceeds from some of their merchandise sales will go to benefit Songs Against Slavery.
