Big Dudee Roo

Wednesday, June 28 @ 6:45pm Rackham Stage

Inspired by atmospheric folk rock and grunge, this quartet from Grand Rapids will impress you with their original lyrical songwriting, driving rhythms, and heavy guitar sound. The core of the group met as teens in Wayland, MI, and has melded influences like Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Pearl Jam, as well as the lightness of bands like Spoon into their sound. They play all over Michigan, including a stop at the Hoxeyville Festival later this summer and collaborate with many other musicians. Their latest Earthworks Music Collective Release, Dudee Free, was nominated for a Jammy and is part of why Revue Magazine named them the No. 1 band to watch in 2016.
