Michigan’s The Moxie Strings is the electrifying combination of fiddler Diana Ladio, electric cellist Alison Lynn, and world percussionist Fritz McGirr. With their feel-good melodies and foot-stomping, rock-influenced rhythms, they put a fresh, enticing spin on Celtic and Americana music. Classically trained as musicians and composers, they’ve toured extensively, playing many major Irish festivals, and have taught their craft throughout the U.S. and Canada. In 2014, they released Running in Squares. Tonight they will be joined by surprise guests from the Community Music School of Ann Arbor.
