Pitch-perfect and charming, Rochester Hills’ Olivia Millerschin, age 19, is inspired by simple but catchy songs and mixes pop, jazz, soul, and folk in the vein of Ingrid Michaelson and Corinne Bailey Rae. She plays the guitar, ukulele, and tambourine and has been nominated for five Detroit Music Awards, including Outstanding Acoustic/Folk Recording and Outstanding Acoustic/Folk Vocalist. In 2014, she won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for her song “Screw Valentine’s Day” and released the EP, Over the Weather, last year. She returns to the festival for a solo acoustic set.
